I began working with my father, building houses when I was young. By the time I was in my early twenties, I was doing all the custom built-ins and mill work. I knew I had a gift for proportion, function, and design, and I wanted to learn more.
I was thrilled to be accepted to the prestigious Chippendale School of Fine Furniture in Edinburgh, Scotland. My first year, I won the student designer of the year award, and I knew I was meant to design and build furniture. It was a profound experience to go there, and to learn from the European masters.
For the past 20 years have been privileged to work with some of the finest architects, designers and aficionados of fine furniture, primarily in Denver, New York and Santa Barbara. I never cease to be surprised, delighted and enlightened by the collaborative process.
I use a variety of reclaimed, natural and exotic woods; glass, stone and metal to create beautiful, timeless, flawlessly functional furniture.
